EoS, Essence of The Sun, starts with vanilla’s sweet opening, with a faint hint of pink pepper. However, the pink pepper gives a nice touch to the fragrance’s texture, making the opening exciting and somehow sparkling. The citrus notes of bergamot come after, providing a blast of freshness to the vanilla. It feels like waking up in the morning at the hotel room, jumping out of bed, and feeling so excited about spending the day under the sun at the beach. Simple happiness!
A blooming white flower bouquet suddenly kicks in, smelling clean, creamy, with a tad sweetness. A whiff of almond notes appears in the middle of this white floral bouquet, enhancing the creaminess and making it even more opulent but with complexity. The almond brings out the lactonic facet of EoS, along with faint woody notes that remind me of sandalwood. The combination smells so creamy and delightful!
The scent progresses to be more floral in the heart notes. A gorgeous blend of jasmine and ylang-ylang amplifies the exoticism of EoS. The combination of these exotic florals imparts sophistication and, at the same time, comfort. It makes me envision a luxurious vacation on a tropical island in the summer, where we indulge ourselves in the warmth of the sun, fresh coconut water, and french pastries.
EoS lingers for a long time and projects amazingly well. It is not a bomb, but the sillage is recognizable. EoS’ Solaire accord is beautiful. It reminds me of a suntan lotion we use at the beach! It builds a cocooning musk, vanilla, and creamy woody dry down on the skin–this is my favorite part. I found EoS is very comfortable to be worn daily to give a sense of comfort and happiness.
The nose behind EoS is Karina Mandala. A bright future for her in the perfumery industry!
