Fig & Lotus Flower starts with a fresh and sparkling splash of grapefruit.
The grapefruit smells zesty with a hint of bitterness similar to the real fruit. Leave it on the skin for a little bit, and the juicy-watery facet of the grapefruit starts appearing, smelling delightful. This facet blends amazingly well with the fig tree leaves molecule called Stemone. Stemone amplifies the luminosity of Fig & Lotus Flower with its bright green-leafy notes that carry a touch of mint leaves scent. The combination makes a powerful introduction of what we could expect in the rest of this fragrant journey, a fascinating fig tree accord in a watery lotus garden.
The fig leaves scent lingers, like a leaf that falls from the tree, slowly reaching the ground. A whiff of air swipes the fig leaf onto the river. The fig leaf dance as it moves with the water, gradually entering the magnificent oasis of lotus flowers, looking so divine. The air is fragrant with rich floral notes. Potent yet lightweight, as if the petals are transparent and delicate to the touch.
A heartfelt sensation of radiant flowers reminiscent of neroli gives life to the flowers, like the sun rays that shine bright on the oasis. I adore the bright and green fig in this perfume, combined with the watery and transparent floral backbone. The lotus accord is very well executed, making the fragrance voluminous. At the same time, the fig accord is not too creamy and milky. Instead, it is sparkling and crispy. I love it! Thank you, Alexis Didier, for creating this wonderful fig perfume.
The fragrance projects very well on my skin. The woody vetiver and musks in the dry down linger for a good 4 hours. Somehow, I find some similarities with Basil & Neroli cologne, especially the neroli and vetiver notes. Both of the fragrance smells floral, green, musky, and woody. And both of them smell fantastic.
By the way, I don’t find Fig & Lotus Flower extremely unique, but I still think this is a fantastic creation and one of the best figs in the market.
This fragrance is friendly to our nose and very easy to wear. If you are a fan of fig perfume and prefer a fresh, bright, airy fig rather than the creamy-coconut one, then Fig & Lotus Flower will suit you perfectly.
The other fragrance from the Lost in Wonder collection is Cypress & Grapevine Cologne Intense. I will have a separate post for it later, but I’ll tell you now, that one is gorgeous! I can’t wait to write about Cypress & Grapevine soon. Just need to take a good picture of it first. Stay tuned!
